Asking Alexandria: The band Asking Alexandria might not be the same band that some fans remember. Guitarist Ben Bruce started a band with the same name in Dubai under a completely different lineup and a different style. It was only when Bruce moved back to England and reused the name for the popular metalcore band that the name truly gained recognition. Asking Alexandria stands apart from other metalcore bands with their speed, their intensely physical concert dates, and surprisingly melodic clean vocals. Metal fans can check out the incredible speed and power of Asking Alexandria on their upcoming tour dates in 2011 as they promote their new album, Reckless & Relentless.

Asking Alexandria has only been around since 2008, but they have paid their dues in England and the US. Before recording their first album, the band played extensive concert dates in the UK and the US in 2008. After gaining a decent following, Asking Alexandria recorded their debut album, Stand Up and Scream, in 2009 right before being signed to Sumerian Records. Despite the previous year full of tour dates, the album was such a success that the band spent most of 2009 playing concert dates with bands like Alesana and Evergreen Terrace.

2010 was an even busier year for Asking Alexandria; the band worked on a reissue of Stand Up and Scream called Stepped Up and Scratched, which has a more dustup vibe than the original. The band also worked extremely hard on their newest album Reckless & Relentless while playing numerous tour dates on a number of separate tours with Attack Attack!, Dance Gavin Dance, We Came as Romans, and the Thrash and Burn Tour with Born of Osiris.

With Reckless & Relentless released on April 5, 2011, Asking Alexandria is scheduling even more concert dates to promote the album. Tour dates for 2011 will include plenty of popular metal bands, including Evergreen Terrace, Emmure, Chiodos, Miss May I, and Lower Than Atlantis. The Reckless and Relentless Tour is currently on the US leg of its tour dates, making their way up the West Coast and weaving back and forth over the Canadian border. The European leg of 2011 tour dates will begin with a sold out show in London on April 22 and will continue throughout Western Europe and South Asia until late May, returning to Europe for the final few concert dates.

3 Doors Down: 3 Doors Down brought Southern Rock back to prominence with their hit debut album in 2000. Ever since The Better Life was released, 3 Doors Down have been a mainstay on the radio dial and on the concert circuit. 3 Doors Down tour dates are currently scheduled internationally to promote their upcoming fifth disc. The band was formed in 1996 with friends Brad Arnold (vocalist), Matt Roberts (guitarist), and Todd Harrell (bassist) in their native Escatawpa, Mississippi. They were high school students playing cover music and trying to hone their skills for several years before putting together an official demo. They recorded and produced their first hit single "Kryptonite" in 1999 which was featured on their EP and garnered the attention of a local radio station. The band was flown to New York for a showcase at the legendary CBGB music club and eventually signed to Republic Records. Knowing that they already had a radio hit on their hands with "Kryptonite", the bandmates quickly produced and recorded The Better Life in 2000. The album was a runaway success and has been certified six times Platinum in the United States and remains their best selling album to-date. 3 Doors Down tour dates were scheduled on a national outing to support the album.

They returned in 2002 with Away from the Sun which featured the massively successful military anthem "Here Without You". The 3 Doors Down concert schedule included another international tour to support the album which has been certified four times platinum. They released Seventeen Days in 2005 which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, becoming their first #1 album. The guys teamed up with Lynyrd Skynyrd for the Seventeen Days Tour which heated up the Southern venues throughout the year. They released their self-titled fourth album in 2008 which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 becoming their second consecutive album to accomplish the feat.

While the band didn't achieve the same feat with their fifth album Time of My Life, it did debut at #3; a much better start than most artists. The album chronicled their journey to fame and how it has changed/unchanged the band. Unfortunately, a new album and tour dates were delayed due to the departure of bassist Todd Harrell, but 3 Doors Down won't be able to stay idle for long.

HELLYEAH: Wish you could “Frankenstein” all of your favorite bands together? Well, that’s just what the bandmates of Hellyeah decided to do. This American heavy metal supergroup draws its members from legendary bands such as Pantera (drummer Vinnie Paul), Damageplan (Vinnie Paul and bassist Bob Zilla), Mudvayne (vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett), Nothingface (guitarist Tom Maxwell), and Rebel Meets Rebel (Vinnie Paul).

Originating from discussions on the Tattoo the Earth tour in 2001, the formation of the supergroup was delayed due to scheduling conflicts with the original bands. However, the group recorded its first album in 2006, and released their debut, Hellyeah, the following year with Epic Records. The album reached #9 on the Billboard 200 album charts with sales of just under 45,000 copies. Their 2010 album, Stampede, was similarly received, reaching #8 on the Billboard 200.

The group recently released their third album, Band of Brothers, and working through their short but intense tour through the US and Canada. Want Hellyeah to visit your home city? Make sure to demand them and let them know where to visit next time around.
